The Assistant Project Manager plays a key role in managing the daily operations of our service department. This position oversees scheduling, customer communication, technician dispatch, and project coordination while driving efficiency, financial accuracy, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring experience, initiative, and leadership to ensure all service activities align with company goals and standards.
- Oversee and prioritize the scheduling and dispatching of service technicians based on workload, location, and expertise.
- Serve as the main point of contact for key customers, managing escalations and complex service needs with professionalism and urgency.
- Manage all phases of service projects—from scheduling and parts procurement to close-out and invoicing.
- Collaborate with Service Managers to monitor backlog, forecast labor needs, and ensure profitability and operational efficiency.

Human Resources Coordinator (Elmhurst, IL)
The HR Coordinator supports the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to engagement and record management. This role ensures smooth HR operations by coordinating hiring activities, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting with administrative tasks that strengthen both employee experience and organizational efficiency.
Assist in facilitating the onboarding process and conduct orientation sessions for all newly hired team members

In this role, you’ll support the sales process by creating HVAC cost estimates, selecting equipment, and preparing technical docs. You’ll also stay current on products and build strong relationships with vendors and customers.
- Generate accurate cost estimates and proposals for HVAC equipment and related systems.
- Analyze plans, specifications, and other construction documentation to prepare cost estimates.
- Assist the sales team with HVAC equipment selections for engineers and contractors in professional and timely manner.
- Prepare technical documentation for equipment selections/submittals.

This role will require intermediate to advanced independent diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing of CATI (Chillers) and CATII (Non-Chiller) equipment.
This position is part of the Pipefitters Local 33.
This role can be based in:
- Cedar Rapids, Iowa
- Des Moines, Iowa
- Perform maintenance of all HVAC & applied equipment and on-site start-up procedures.
- Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Perform intermediate to advanced independent diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing of equipment.
- Conduct warranty service application by independently inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality for equipment.
- Verify functionality of new equipment. Educate customers on proper use of equipment, maintenance schedule, and operating manual.
- Problem-solve issues using reasoning and logic.
- Communicate with individuals who installed the system.
- Program new control systems using touchscreens and computers.
- Assist the owner’s representatives to demonstrate that the system has been set up properly.

Sales Engineer Development Program (Elmhurst, IL)
As a Sales Engineer at Thermosystems, your primary responsibility will be putting together HVAC equipment selections, cost estimates, and submittals. You’ll work on a fast-paced applied sales team assisting engineers and contractors in the design and execution of HVAC projects for new facilities, additions, and renovation projects.
Training
As part of the sales engineer development program Daikin Graduate Engineer Transformed (GET) program.
The GET program is a 6-month immersive learning program for new graduate sales engineers designed to provide foundational HVAC knowledge and experience, build their professional network, and enhance their industry credibility.
The GET program, a blended learning experience that includes online learning and in-person trips to our factories and install sites, is the best opportunity to quickly bring new sales engineers up to speed on not only our products, but also on systems, applications, and real-life situations.
The blended learning program has two components:
- Self-paced online learning (videos, assignments, discussion forums, knowledge checks)
- In-person modules (factory tours, install sites, group activities, and team projects.)
- Generate accurate cost estimates and proposals for HVAC equipment and related systems
- Analyze plans, specifications, and other construction documentation to prepare cost estimates
